Crimson Waves art and poetry

Why are Irish women and men often too shy to talk about periods?

For nine months, I had conversations with people aged 22-87 that revealed myriad reasons, including

  • family dynamics
  • the church’s influence
  • a lack of biological education

There was a lot of interest in the project, so I extended it and put out an open call for art and writing.

Over 80 people responded. I curated the exhibition at CB1 community art space, Limerick.
