Kathryn M Crowley is an Irish writer and speaker, based near the Limerick-Kerry border. Her poetry has been widely published and includes two poems held in Ireland’s National Poetry Collection at UCD Library.
She is the author of Cave to Compass (2025) and The Pollen Pages (2021). An experienced speaker, she has presented work at festivals, symposiums, and international programmes.

After twenty years of social arts practice, she studied sociology (social science) at postgraduate level with the University of Limerick. In 2023, she was commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Culture and Science to write on socially engaged arts in Europe, and was also awarded an Arts in Medicine Fellowship.

Features written for the Irish Independent and other outlets combine meticulous research with interviews, focusing on creativity, women’s health, neurodiversity, and culture. Kathryn often explores the connections between lived experience, environment, and the body through text and imagery.
