Open call for writing

Silt zine is a paper project that will also be shared online. The theme is ‘river’. Respond as you wish.

This not a competition. All writing that respects the guidelines will be included.

You can share

  • poetry (up to 220 words per poem)
  • flash fiction, memoir notes, essays, creative non fiction, and experimental text (up to 1,000 words per entry).

Guidelines

The maximum number of entries is 6 per person, i.e. up to 3 poems and 3 pieces of prose.

Support the project by donating any amount of €10 or more. You will receive a thank you in the post, plus a copy of the zine.

How Silt zine will be shared

Online

Everyone’s writing will be published online September 11th-27th.

Silt will be free for everyone to read.

In print

Writers whose work is included in the paper edition will receive a copy of the zine in the post.

Yes. All entries will be photographed and shared exactly as you send them.

Yes. Make sure to mention that your work was already published.

I don’t know yet. It depends on the number of entries, and final project costs. It will be a very small number.

No, but you can pay with any card using the link provided.
