For three decades, my work as a socially-engaged artist focused on collaboration, qualitative exploration, and advocacy. This extensive body of work received recognition in Ireland, The Netherlands, and France. It serves as the foundation for my current writing and journalism.
After studying sociology at postgraduate level I published Cave to Compass, my first non-fiction book, in 2025.
Visual art
Nature’s seasonal shapeshifting, research, and my lived experience prompt me to respond through art. I am also inspired by animals and dreams.
Each piece begins with a pencil or pen and paper. I enjoy making analogue art in layers. Some of my paintings and prints are for sale on the shop page.
