This feels like a hive without hierarchy. I’m among global health experts, people with lived experience of illness, scientists, shamans, and researchers at the World Health Summit in Berlin.
The theme for 2026 is From Crisis to Resilience: Innovating for Health. Over 400 speakers are onsite for the event, which runs from October 11th-13th.
Day one was packed with excellent presentations and debates. Between each session I’ve enjoyed warm conversations with people from Europe, India, Australia, and Africa so far. The hotel team are doing a great job too, keeping the 4000 attendees hydrated, well-fed, and informed.

Dr. Hiba Boujnah and Dr. Shyama Kuruvilla.
I am reporting on liver health and reporting on multiple other topics. The sessions on liver disease, metabolic health, and Building Resilient Health Systems Through Traditional Medicine were particularly interesting yesterday.
More to come….
